We took a very enjoyable 24 hours alone, which is quite rare for us! We spent the day/evening in Gainesville, Florida at the Magnolia Plantation Bed and Breakfast where we stayed on the first night of our honeymoon two years ago. We had a nice dinner at the Bonefish Grill that evening. One of the highlights was seeing Coach Urban Myer, head football coach of the Florida Gators, in the restaurant.

Our schnoodle puppy is growing like crazy. Daisy is now 5 months old and about 8 pounds.

In other family news... Julie's sister Tania was married on March 10th to Josh Julin. The couple is spending their honeymoon in Costa Rica.

Rhys has started soccer again. Sidney, Bryce and Tyler are playing on an i9 flag football team that we put together for the spring league and I am coaching the team.Coach Armattihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10343612536508141139noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37978551.post-39764728693489727292006-12-19T07:48:00.000-08:002008-12-11T14:30:38.596-08:00It's a girl!

Our family welcomed Daisy, an 8-week old schnoodle puppy, into our clan on December 18, 2006!

Julie and I decided to reward the boys for being so responsible over the last year. So, for Christmas this year, we brought Daisy home. This is our first family pet.

Buying a puppy is a lot more complicated than I ever imagined. We searched for a breed that was hypoallergenic and small. We then started looking for litters in the area. We eventually found a breeder in Michigan that had one female puppy that was not yet spoken for. It ended up being cheaper to fly up to Michigan and pick up the puppy than to purchase one here in Florida. In addition, we were unable to find any schnoodle pups in Florida that would be ready to come home in time for Christmas. So, I made arrangements with the breeder who met me at the airport in Lansing, Michigan with the puppy. I flew up, picked up the puppy, got right back on the plane and flew back in the same afternoon!

We introduced Daisy to the boys last night and they were thrilled...
Coach Armattihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10343612536508141139noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37978551.post-1165865199399307482006-12-11T11:26:00.000-08:002006-12-13T05:18:54.241-08:00Now we're bloggin' !Yeah man.
